An American Collection

This is a 53 minute video made up of one minute clips shot or set in each of the 50 states plus Washington D.C. at the end.

I finished this piece in 2001, again in 2002 and then really finished it in 2003.

 

This video was to anchor a collection of pieces about the United States. This includes the State Songs, the Public Service Announcements, the postcards and a few others I can't remember now. The "recent tragic events" of 9/11 threw off my momentum about the overall project, but I'm slowly trying to put it back together. Greg Purcell wrote about it here.
